ABLE er et ergoterapeutisk interventionsprogram, som har til formål at forbedre ADL evnen blandt personer, der lever med kroniske tilstande. ABLE har en varighed på 5-8 uger og leveres i klientens hjem. Programmet er systematisk i sin opbygning, og indholdet tilpasses den enkelte klient. ABLE er baseret på OTIPM og dermed undersøges ADL evnen indledningsvist baseret på både interview og observation. Klienten involveres aktivt i at sætte mål og finde, afprøve og øve løsninger. Tilgangen til at finde løsninger er kompensatorisk med henblik på at gøre udførelsen mindre anstrengende, mere effektiv, mere sikker eller mere selvstændig.
